We engaged Back to Timber for Quickstep hybrid floor installation, and I’m beyond impressed with the entire process from start to finish. The team demonstrated outstanding technical skill and attention to detail throughout the project.
Right from the initial consultation, they took precise measurements and assessed the condition of our subfloor thoroughly. It was clear they knew exactly what they were doing. The floor levelling was done meticulously — they identified some uneven areas in the slab that I hadn’t even noticed, and corrected them perfectly to ensure a smooth, stable base for the hybrid planks. The precise floor level measurement with the laser and the excellent skill in the pouring of the levelling mix was outstanding.
During installation, their craftsmanship really stood out. Every plank was cut and laid with absolute precision, especially around tricky corners and door frames. The expansion gaps were measured and placed correctly, and all transitions between rooms were seamless.
On top of the technical excellence, they were punctual, tidy, and communicative throughout. The end result is a beautiful, durable floor that looks and feels high-end. I would 100% recommend Back to Timber to anyone looking for professional hybrid floor installation done right the first time.

After doing a few comparison on flooring with different providers we decided to go with back to timber and it was a great decision. We ordered the quick step majestic oak colour, due to its width and extra long length it looks really really good in our 2 bedroom apartment, visually it made the room looked bigger. Sophia was our contact throughout the process, she was very patient and very knowledgeable giving us advice and the supplying documentation which made the approval process through strata much easier. In the day of installation we had Oliver and he was amazing!! You can tell he has a lot of experience doing this and he was very patient explaining the process. Oliver was great talking to as well and his finishing work was top notch! Both the pricing and the service was perfect from back to timber I wouldn’t even consider again if I ever need flooring.

The customer service Sofia is really helpful and friendly, everything is organised well. Their polish staff and floorboard installation staff have over 20-year experience and are incredibly professional. The work has been done with great efficiency and quality. My original floorboards looks super smooth and delicate after polish and lacquering, the new blackbutt floorboards upstairs looks perfect matching with the original one. Really love it!!!!!!
