About Quick-Step
Unilin, the group behind Quick-Step, is an international company started in Belgium in 1960. Quick-Step was introduced in 1990 with a strong focus on design and quality and an unquenchable thirst for innovation: those are the engines that make Quick-Step one of the leading players in the flooring industry. Quick-Step creates beautiful and high-quality floors for your home or commercial space.
Quick-Step doesn’t just continuously improve products in terms of their design and performance but also in sustainability. Unilin has always been a pioneer in the circular economy. In 1960, they used flax straw – a bio-based waste stream from the flax industry – to produce particle boards. From that moment on, renewable raw materials have been at the centre of their business. That’s why the wooden core of Quick-Step laminate and timber flooring contains only recovered wood. That is, wood collected from sawmills, sustainable forest management processes, roadside maintenance, etc., that would otherwise be discarded. As well as this, half of the group’s production is powered by solar or wind energy.
